ForgeTag Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ForgeTag website, products, tag activation and registration features, lost-and-found contact relay services, and related services made available through forgetag.com and any associated websites or services (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are provided by Forge Life LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“ForgeTag,” “Forge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Services, activating or registering a ForgeTag, creating an account, submitting information through a ForgeTag, or otherwise indicating your acceptance of these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

1. What ForgeTag Does

ForgeTag provides a lost-and-found identification and contact relay service designed to help people who find lost property (“Finders”) contact the person who registered the applicable ForgeTag (“Owner”).

An Owner may activate a ForgeTag by scanning its QR code or entering its Tag ID, providing an email address, verifying that email address, and completing the applicable registration process.

If a Finder locates an item bearing a ForgeTag, the Finder may scan the QR code or enter the Tag ID on our website and submit an email address and a message intended for the Owner.

ForgeTag then relays the Finder’s submitted email address and message to the registered Owner.

ForgeTag does not provide an in-platform chat, messaging thread, telephone service, or other direct communications channel between Owners and Finders. If an Owner chooses to contact a Finder, that communication occurs outside the ForgeTag platform using the contact information voluntarily provided by the Finder.

Unless otherwise expressly stated:

ForgeTag does not disclose an Owner’s email address to a Finder merely because the Finder scans or enters a Tag ID;
ForgeTag does not take possession or custody of lost property;
ForgeTag does not transport, ship, store, insure, authenticate, or inspect lost property;
ForgeTag does not verify that a person claiming to be an Owner or Finder is truthful;
ForgeTag does not act as an escrow agent, delivery service, bailee, broker, or agent for an Owner or Finder; and
ForgeTag does not guarantee that any lost item will be located, reported, returned, or returned in its original condition.

2. Eligibility

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 years of age.

You may not create an account or submit personal information through the Services if you are under 13.

If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By permitting a minor to use the Services, the parent or guardian agrees to be responsible for the minor’s use of the Services.

3. Accounts and Email Verification

Certain portions of the Services require an account.

When you activate or register a ForgeTag using an email address, we may send a one-time verification code or similar authentication message to that email address. Upon successful verification, a ForgeTag account may be automatically created for that email address.

By completing email verification, you represent that you are authorized to access and use that email account.

You are responsible for:

maintaining control of the email account associated with your ForgeTag account;
protecting verification codes and authentication credentials;
keeping your account information reasonably accurate;
promptly notifying us if you believe your account or email has been compromised; and
all activity occurring through your account except to the extent caused by our own breach of these Terms or applicable law.

You may not obtain, request, intercept, or use a verification code sent to another person without authorization.

4. Tag Registration and Tag IDs

Each ForgeTag may contain or be associated with a QR code, Tag ID, or similar identifier.

You may register or manage a ForgeTag only if you own the tag, own or lawfully control the property to which it is attached, or have been authorized by the applicable owner.

You may not knowingly register another person’s Tag ID, interfere with another person's registration, or falsely claim ownership of property.

A Tag ID is designed to allow a Finder to identify the applicable ForgeTag through the Services. A Tag ID is not a password or confidential security credential. Tag IDs may be physically visible on tags and may be entered by Finders into the ForgeTag website.

You may not systematically guess, enumerate, scrape, harvest, scan, test, or collect Tag IDs or information associated with Tag IDs.

5. Finder Submissions and Contact Relay

A Finder is not required to create a ForgeTag account merely to report a found item.

To contact an Owner through the Services, a Finder may be asked to provide information such as:

the applicable Tag ID;
the Finder’s email address; and
a message for the Owner.

By submitting a Finder report, the Finder expressly authorizes ForgeTag to disclose the Finder’s submitted email address and message to the registered Owner of the applicable Tag.

The Finder understands that:

the Owner will receive the Finder’s email address and message;
the Owner may use that email address to contact the Finder directly;
any subsequent communications between the Finder and Owner may occur outside ForgeTag;
ForgeTag does not control those subsequent communications; and
the Finder should not submit information that the Finder does not want the applicable Owner to receive.

A Finder must provide an email address that the Finder is authorized to use and may not impersonate another person.

6. Owner Responsibilities

If you receive a Finder report as an Owner, you may use the Finder’s contact information only for legitimate purposes reasonably related to identifying, locating, recovering, or arranging the return of the applicable property.

You may not use Finder information to:

send unsolicited marketing;
enroll the Finder in mailing lists;
harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk the Finder;
publish or publicly disclose the Finder’s contact information;
conduct unrelated profiling or background investigations;
commit fraud or other unlawful acts; or
contact the Finder for purposes unrelated to the reported property without the Finder’s consent.

ForgeTag does not require an Owner to respond to a Finder and does not guarantee that an Owner will respond.

7. Safe Return of Property

Owners and Finders are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, where, and how property will be returned.

ForgeTag does not recommend or require any particular meeting, shipping arrangement, payment, reward, or return method.

You should exercise reasonable judgment when communicating with another person or arranging an exchange. Depending on the circumstances, appropriate precautions may include using a public location, a reputable shipping carrier, or contacting local authorities.

Do not personally handle or transport property if doing so would be unlawful or would create a reasonable safety risk.

If an item appears dangerous, illegal, suspicious, or associated with criminal activity, contact the appropriate authorities rather than attempting to resolve the matter through ForgeTag.

8. Rewards, Payments, Shipping, and Expenses

ForgeTag does not promise or guarantee that a Finder will receive a reward, reimbursement, shipping payment, or other compensation.

Any reward, reimbursement, payment, shipping arrangement, or other agreement between an Owner and Finder is solely between those parties unless ForgeTag expressly states otherwise in writing.

ForgeTag is not responsible for:

payment disputes;
shipping costs;
customs charges;
loss or damage during shipping;
fraudulent payment requests;
promised but unpaid rewards; or
disputes concerning possession, title, or ownership of property.

9. No Verification of Ownership or Finder Claims

Possession of a Tag ID, access to a QR code, or access to a registered email account does not necessarily prove legal ownership of an item.

ForgeTag generally does not independently investigate or determine ownership disputes.

We may, but are not obligated to, suspend access to a tag or account where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized registration, abuse, security concerns, or an ownership dispute.

Nothing in the Services changes legal ownership of property.

10. User Content

The Services may allow you to submit messages, descriptions, item information, support requests, or other content (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant ForgeTag a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, and display your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to:

operate and provide the Services;
relay Finder submissions;
provide customer support;
maintain security and prevent abuse;
comply with law; and
exercise or defend legal rights.

You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that doing so does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

Do not include passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, government identification numbers, highly sensitive personal information, or other information that is unnecessary for locating or returning property.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Services to:

violate any applicable law or regulation;
falsely report an item as found, lost, stolen, or owned by you;
impersonate another person or organization;
fraudulently claim ownership of property;
demand money through threats, coercion, extortion, or deception;
harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse another person;
send spam or unauthorized commercial communications;
submit malicious, obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, or unlawful content;
obtain personal information for purposes unrelated to returning lost property;
scrape, harvest, crawl, enumerate, or systematically collect Tag IDs or personal information;
attempt to identify an Owner except through the intended ForgeTag recovery process;
bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms;
interfere with or disrupt the Services;
introduce malware or malicious code;
reverse engineer portions of the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it;
access another person's account without authorization; or
assist another person in doing any of the foregoing.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

12. Privacy

Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

In particular, Finders should understand that the email address and message they submit through a found-item form are intentionally transmitted to the registered Owner of the applicable ForgeTag.

13. Email Communications

By using the Services, you agree that we may send transactional and service-related emails necessary to operate ForgeTag, including:

verification codes;
account notices;
Finder notifications;
security alerts;
tag-related notices;
support communications; and
material notices concerning the Services or these Terms.

Transactional communications are part of the Services and are different from marketing communications.

Where we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the method provided in those messages, subject to our ability to continue sending transactional or legally required communications.

14. Product Sales, Shipping, Returns, and Warranty

Purchases of ForgeTag products may also be subject to additional terms or policies presented at the time of purchase, including applicable shipping, return, refund, and warranty policies.

Those policies are incorporated into these Terms to the extent applicable to a purchase.

Any product warranty applies according to its stated terms and does not constitute a guarantee that lost property will be recovered through the ForgeTag Service.

15. Service Availability

ForgeTag relies on internet connectivity, email systems, web hosting, network infrastructure, third-party service providers, the readability of a physical QR code or Tag ID, and other systems outside our complete control.

Accordingly, the Services may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or unsuccessful.

Among other things, we do not guarantee:

uninterrupted or error-free operation;
successful delivery of every email;
continuous availability of any specific feature;
that every QR code will remain readable;
that a tag will remain physically attached to an item;
that a Finder will have internet access;
that an Owner’s email provider will accept our messages; or
that the Services will remain compatible with every device or browser.

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.

16. Intellectual Property

The Services, including ForgeTag trademarks, logos, software, website design, text, graphics, interfaces, databases, and other materials provided by ForgeTag, are owned by Forge Life LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, license, or commercially exploit the Services or ForgeTag intellectual property without our written permission.

17. Third-Party Services

The Services may depend on or link to services operated by third parties, including hosting providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, shipping companies, retailers, and other service providers.

ForgeTag does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent acts, omissions, availability, terms, or privacy practices.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

FORGE LIFE LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SERVICES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THAT:

A LOST ITEM WILL BE FOUND;
A FINDER WILL SCAN OR REPORT A TAG;
AN OWNER WILL RECEIVE OR RESPOND TO A FINDER MESSAGE;
AN ITEM WILL BE RETURNED;
AN ITEM WILL BE RETURNED SAFELY OR UNDAMAGED;
INFORMATION PROVIDED BY AN OWNER OR FINDER IS ACCURATE;
A PERSON COMMUNICATING WITH YOU IS TRUSTWORTHY;
AN ITEM WILL NOT BE LOST, STOLEN, DAMAGED, OR DESTROYED; OR
USE OF THE SERVICES WILL PREVENT LOSS, THEFT, FRAUD, OR PERSONAL INJURY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the foregoing may not apply to you.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FORGE LIFE LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROPERTY, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES.

Without limiting the foregoing, ForgeTag is not responsible for losses arising from:

the loss, theft, damage, destruction, or non-return of property;
inaccurate or fraudulent Owner or Finder information;
communications or interactions between Owners and Finders;
meetings or exchanges arranged outside the Services;
shipping or delivery arrangements;
rewards or payment arrangements;
unauthorized scanning or entry of a Tag ID;
unreadable, damaged, removed, or altered tags;
email delivery failures;
third-party services; or
conduct occurring after ForgeTag relays a Finder submission.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORGE LIFE LLC'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO FORGE LIFE LLC FOR THE FORGETAG PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

20. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Forge Life LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs and expenses arising out of or relating to:

your misuse of the Services;
your violation of these Terms;
your violation of another person's rights;
your User Content;
your fraudulent or unlawful conduct; or
any agreement or interaction between you and another Owner or Finder,

except to the extent a claim results from Forge Life LLC's own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of applicable law.

21. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

Where account controls are available, you may request deletion of your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, Tag registration, or access to the Services if reasonably necessary to:

protect users or the Services;
investigate suspected fraud or abuse;
comply with law or legal process;
address security concerns;
resolve an ownership dispute; or
enforce these Terms.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law.

22. Dispute Resolution; Individual Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE CERTAIN DISPUTES DECIDED BY A COURT OR JURY.

A. Informal Resolution

Before initiating arbitration or litigation, you and Forge Life LLC agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.

A notice to Forge Life LLC should describe the dispute and requested resolution and should be sent to:

The parties will have 30 days after receipt of the notice to attempt informal resolution before commencing arbitration, except where applicable law permits immediate relief.

B. Binding Individual Arbitration

Except for disputes eligible for small claims court and requests for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief concerning unauthorized access, misuse, or intellectual property, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through binding individual arbitration.

The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by these Terms.

The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement.

Arbitration may be conducted remotely, by written submissions, or in person as permitted by the applicable rules and law.

C. No Class Proceedings

YOU AND FORGE LIFE LLC AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLASS MEMBER, OR REPRESENTATIVE IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

An arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to resolve that party's individual claim.

D. Arbitration Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to Forge Life LLC within 30 days after you first accept these Terms.

Your notice must include your name, the email address associated with your account if applicable, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration provision in the ForgeTag Terms of Service.

Send the notice to the mailing or email address above with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out.”

Opting out of arbitration will not otherwise affect your use of the Services.

E. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this Section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived, including any right to bring an eligible claim in small claims court or to seek relief from a government agency.

23. Governing Law and Venue

Except to the extent federal law or another jurisdiction's non-waivable law applies, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

For disputes that are not subject to arbitration, you and Forge Life LLC consent to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts with jurisdiction over Montgomery County, Texas, except where applicable consumer law requires a different forum.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or through another reasonable method.

The updated Terms will state their effective date.

Where required by law, we will obtain additional consent before applying materially different terms.

Material amendments to the arbitration provisions will not retroactively alter the treatment of a dispute of which Forge Life LLC had actual notice before the amendment unless you affirmatively agree to the amendment.

25. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Forge Life LLC regarding the Services.
